Board

The Steering Committee is ALLEA's Executive Board. According to the Statutes, the Board consists of 7 full members, elected by the General Assembly, plus the hosting Academy and the President. The President is Chair of the Board. The vice-president is elected from among the members of the Board and becomes supernumerary, upon election. With the exception of the Presidency, members of the Board are Academies who are represented by delegates (typically presidents, secretary generals or foreign secretaries):

ð the Vice-President (Prof.dr. C.N.J. Mann); 
ð elected Member Academies: 
Austria: Austrian Academy of Sciences
France: Académie des Sciences
Ireland: The Royal Irish Academy
Netherlands: Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW)
Slovakia: Slovak Academy of Sciences;
Spain: Institute of Spain
Sweden: Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences
Switzerland: Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences

EASAC and IAP have an observer status.
