Successful General Assembly in Madrid

ALLEA held a very successful and fruitful General Assembly in Madrid, 16 - 18 April 2008. After the opening by H.M. Queen Sofia of Spain, EC Commissioner Potocnik (on video) and the Presidents of ALLEA, Jüri Engelbrecht, and the Institute of Spain, Salustiano del Campo Urbano, delegates of more than 40 Academies listened to a number of interesting addresses and discussed matters of interest for ALLEA. Meeting ALLEA SC on Science & Ethics
The ALLEA Standing Committee on Science & Ethics, Chaired by Prof. Ludger Honnefelder, will meet on the premises of the Turkish Academy of Sciences in Istanbul, Turkey, May 23 - 24, 2008. One of the main topics will be scientific integrity.
