General Assembly The General Assembly, ALLEA's highest legislative body of Member Academies, meets every two years. In general, the programme of the biennial meeting consists of various Academic sessions and one Business session. The Academic sessions are devoted to the presentation and discussion of scientific and scholarly papers. In the Business session ALLEA's organisation and policy are put on the agenda. All Member Academies are entitled to vote, with a maximum of 2 votes per country. The last General Assembly (2006) was held in Krakow, Poland. The next General Assembly will be in Madrid, Spain (2008).
